Red Summer

It was mode a spontaneous idea. "What shall I bring?" asked Marlene when we spoke on the phone. "Don't know, what's your favorite?" I answered with a smile. My idea was a summer shoot with sunflowers in the fields. But university crossed our plans and we had to postpone for a couple of weeks. But when sunflowers already hung their heads towards the ground and the wheat fields were harvested, we found a soft spot in the mellow evening sun. Why do you need a field of sunflowers if you have an always smiling Marlene! We took lots and lots of pictures that day.
